The prerequisites are that you:

• between 18 and 27 years old and in good health for the emergency service
• work independently within the scope of their capabilities
• show initiative
• are able to cooperate and organize
• are optionally prepared to take the basic training course in the volunteer fire department
• optionally participate in fire and rescue service operations
• choose to participate in the youth fire department and fire safety education as well as in the entire fire department
• optionally support or conduct first aid training courses
• optionally work in the rescue service

Possession of a class B driving license is an advantage. The FSJ is completed full-time and comprises 39 hours per week.

What you can expect:

They are entrusted with technical and organizational tasks, are deployed in the educational field (e.g. for activities in the youth fire department, fire safety education in primary schools/kindergartens, training, etc.) and learn about the operational activities of the fire and rescue service.

You will complete 25 training days (5x5 days) during the 12-month FSJ with the Hesse State Fire Service Association.

Educational support is provided by the Hesse State Fire Service Association (organization and implementation of the training weeks, visits to operational sites, etc.).
