Waiting tokens possible again In addition to online appointments, from August 1 we will once again be offering appointment-free appointments at the Citizens' Services in Town Hall B. Note on the children's passport:
The legislator has abolished the children's passport as of 01.01.2024. This does not affect the validity of children's passports that have already been issued.

Requirements for an online application
To submit an application online, the following requirements must be met:
- A new ID card or an electronic residence permit, in each case with the online ID function enabled.
- A card reader for reading the ID document
- An ID card app from version 1.13.. Unfortunately, earlier versions cannot be used.

Resident parking permit
You are entitled to a resident parking permit if you move into an apartment that is located within a certain parking zone. Currently, there are zones A-H in the city center area and one parking zone each in Fallersleben and Vorsfelde.

Investigation authorization certificate
Adolescents who begin employment before reaching the age of 18 must be medically examined and are issued an examination authorization certificate for this purpose.
Appointments at the Residents Registration Office
Anyone planning to visit Bürgerdienste must make an appointment via the online appointment system or by calling the Service Center (Behördenrufnummer 115).
Passport photos
Please note: From May 1, 2025, passport photos may only be taken digitally. Passport photos can be taken directly at the Citizens' Services or at participating professional photographers. Some drugstores also offer this service. Please find out about this yourself if required. Two ID card terminals are available for you in the corridor on the ground floor of Town Hall B. Here you can take your own photos before your appointment to apply for the documents. The fee for recording the data is EUR 6.00 for each document and is charged together with the fee payable for the document application at the counter.
The data recorded can only be used to apply for an identity card, passport or driving license.
